Long ago, the only reigning champion for late night was The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Now there are tons of them and who has the time to watch them all? Enter watching Late Night on Your Phone!
Of course, you can DVR them and watch them at home, but how about if you’re rarely at home or have a long commute?
In that case, I recommend watching them on your phone (or listening to them if you’re driving). That’s right! The major networks each have phone apps (of various quality) which allows you to stream. Be aware that streaming takes a lot of data so make sure you have plenty (I have an unlimited T-Mobile plan). If data is a problem, try to find a Wi-Fi connection.
Many of the Television apps will have your Late Night Talk Show ready to watch the very next day while some are a few days behind. Late night jokes are timely but luckily a few days don’t seem to make a big difference.
So why am I telling you all of this? I believe it helps you stay informed with popular news items in a fun and entertaining way (and the college kids will love you).
Below I list several networks and talks shows. Click on each network to find the app:
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
The Late Late Show with James Corden
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
Late Night with Seth Meyers
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Full Frontal (starting Jan 2016)
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah
The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore
HBO (paid service)
For those of you who like Real Time with Bill Maher and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, you need to sign up for HBO and then download the HBO app which allows you to watch these shows on demand.
There are other comedy talk shows, but above are the most popular. Enjoy.
